Indeed, and my one main gripe with China is this, they assume all FT's are rich and can just afford to fly there at the drop of a hat. As the new L visa rules explicitly state proof of a round trip ticket is needed, any prospective employer in China should provide you with an air ticket TO and FROM China to your home, sent as an e ticket, of which the FT/or worker of a different job, does not even have to pay 1 rmb. S Korea/Taiwan/the gulf states all do this, or maybe it is a case of you pay peanuts, then the monkeys will still come in cattle class? I don't know? I do know that I shouldn't lose out financially by having to relocate....
