Western GW's like lg and andy and others will always say "oh, we are not racist, sexist, etc" then continue to be the worst kind of feminists if western women GW's and in general plain racist, to side with the chinese penchant for white skin.
I would state an indian brought up under the british education system could teach better english than many of them.

Andy's blatant racism was bared for all to see. Kind of like that comment made by some chinese a while back that stated, "There is no racism in china, we have no black people here."

I AM CONFUSED, WHAT DOES A black American from Texas OR A Bangladesh/Canadian origin HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH TEACHING ? OH, it's either he or he is from Bangladesh or Canadian, which one is it ? hmm

In fact we currently employ a black American from Texas, and last year employed a good English speaker from Bangladesh/Canadian origin.
You mention the fact that you "have" taught at this school, or do you still continue to do so? "We" suggests you are like a boss/DOS and so perhaps your school is best avoided, unless you can convince us all otherwise?

I am British and have taught at Shenzhen Shiyan Public School for almost 3 years now.
I can only assume the bad report shown here is from some misunderstanding.
Jackie has no prejudice against 'suntans' and I think it was very unfair of the job applicant to suggest such a thing. In fact we currently employ a black American from Texas, and last year employed a good English speaker from Bangladesh/Canadian origin.
As one of the Native English teachers at the school I see most of the CV's and remember one particualar telephone interview last year where the applicant appeared to have a chip on their shoulder over their colour. I had to go to great lengths to assure them that this was not an issue - maybe this was the aggrieved applicant.
Anyway, Shenzhen Shiyan Public School is only 35 minutes on the E18 bus from the Civic Center Building in the center of Shenzhen.
Shenzhen Shiyan Public School is located in Shenzhen or on the outskirts.. Avoid them like the plague ! I went 5 hours on the bus for a JOB, the FAO Jackie told me we would do a medical exam and process the new papers for the new expert book. Maybe my sun tan offended him or whatever.. facts are, we would meet again in the afternoon. I called him around 2:30 - no answer - text him - no reply. Called again around 4 PM no answer.. Good news is, the day before I returned to my campus I had received a job at a level 2 university in Xiamen... COOL ! But Shenzhen Shiyan Public School I learned my lesson !
