I know what brainwashing with all kinds of propaganda is, and I hate it! To sell something about the Bible as English Studies to unsuspecting minds, IMHO, comes up to the same.

Just to add that foreign teachers in China are paid to teach English, not Bible Studies. Maybe some posters who have never been employed as teachers in the West are not aware that it's not ok for subject teachers @ high schools employed to teach English/maths/science/history/geography/economics, etc in the west to push religion in class. Dare they do so, it wouldn't be long before parents complain. Then said 'teachers' will be fired, and lose their teaching licences.
For a poster to come on here and say teaching English through using religious material is utter rubbish. Said numpty is either a troll or someone definitely not the brightest bulb in the pack. It's unbelievable how plain dumb some people are.
BTW, those who come to China to preach to their students won't convert them. The poor students among them will take whatever freebies they can get, and ignore the message being preached. I've seen this at Huaqiao in Changchun where there are members of the ELIC flock from America teaching "English".
