Re: David Huang of Radison Education Guangzhou

Hello sir, thank you for your post. I didn't see your response until now due to being a bit busy the past few days, but I wholeheartedly agree with what you wrote. These agencies are sometimes merely operated out of a bedroom or a small office at best on a laptop. I have had numerous problems finding the real addresses of these agencies with searches on the internet.

What you have said about these pretend "teachers" being hired to work at kindergartens is especially disturbing. I don't know why tough guys are being sent to teach at these places. What a way to spoil childhood memories for the kids. In another 20 years or so you'll have a lot of younger folks walking around speaking broken english harking back to the days when they had that "weird foreign man" in class when they were six :(. I do hope that the quality teachers all stick together, too.

Re: David Huang of Radison Education Guangzhou

I think since a lot, but not all, of these agencies have popped up over the last few years we have seen a steep decline in quality teachers in Schools. These agencies like David Huangs are employing ANYONE with a visa and promising them working permits and telling schools that they have great teachers for them. I actually feel sorry for the schools because the students are getting such terrible lessons from people who only care about the end of month payment.

While I was in my country applying for yet another Z visa I met a guy who was applying for visa because he had been offered a job in a kindergarten through an agency and believe me when I say this guy was not in any way shape or form teacher quality. He looked like someone you would meet in a rough area of a city if you were looking for someone to buy drugs from. What the hell are these agencies trying to do. Schools used to find there own teachers but are now too reliant on so called agencies to do the leg work for them. David Huang is just a prime example of the problems with China. He lies and cheats and sits back while great students who really want to learn English end up with nothing but crap lessons from crap teachers.

The majority of teachers in China who are quality need to stick together and not allow people like David huang to get away with cheating not only use foreigners but the students of China also.

We need more crap school spotters. I hope you will come here more often. Teachers who are still working in China and want to help others are getting rarer these days.

Don't know why, but I dug a little deeper into that website supplied- it's also known as Hangzhou Sesame Street Foreign Language....and looking at their FAQ page, they may also have connections to the infamous Owen Buckland (see q18 & 19).
