OH DEAR!!
Look what you've done! You've broke the camel's back. SM will be gone forever. As a result, Foxy will likely forgive you for having upset him previously about pension transfers. He'll likely reply to your posts gleefully from now on; you'll be so lucky soon, I reckon!

I'm sure Foxy Poster has sometimes found me annoying but I'm sure he doesn't believe I dislike him- be pretty strange if I did-no? I have this feeling that a lot goes over your head- I don't expect any gay and gleeful responses from Foxy Poster, any time soon. Hope you're not short of a debit card?-hahaha.

Breaking that camel's back is indeed sth I wouldn't mourn. However, the curfew stuff about Yuncheng IELTS' School's Yuncheng compound that Mancu has posted is outdated. I should put the record straight, once again re this misinformation. But before doing so, I should say that said school has expanded its reach since I left. Of its expat employees, the only ones living in the compound are within easy reach of the company's client schools. The remaining foreign staff are in rent-free accommodation, provided by the company. I reckon there are just 10 out of 36 FTs living in the compound during term time at present. And the gateman lets 'em in whenever they choose to return. Another thing is that the FTs out in the sticks will likely also be dealing with gatemen, as the apartment blocks will be within a locked gate. However, they can make their own arrangements to be let in late there - gatemen will eat out of their hands, so to speak, if the FTs give them a reasonable 'tip', 50 RMB one-time should suffice!
I don't even know if Mancu would welcome my replies to his posts, given the spats in the past. Ironic that SM jumped to his defence when I attacked Mancu. But now Mancu has broken the camel's back! It's a strange EFL world, indeed!

As long as he doesn't fall down and hurt himself, a good teacher will excel if he's pissed.

I have read your old mans posts and just can't take any more. How you have the influence or power you do here I will never know, I am leaving my email for those who wish to contact me, I shall not be posting here again as I find the boards environment to be full of hostility and a select number of people who are "shut ins" with not one jot of social graces or compassion towards others. Enjoy the nicer things you find, ignore the nonsense, but it is up to you.

Good luck to all who knew me!

Most of the really zealous anti-smoking types are reformed holier than thou given-uppers. If somebody visits my flat I say, please feel free to smoke and promptly produce an ash tray. The polution on the streets is likely to do you more harm than cigarette smoke.

Street pollution is hazardous indeed. Constantly jogging ahead of the guy in front of you doing second hand smoke backdrafts can be an exhausting experience in China. On the other hand, I have had people in my family pass away early from smoking, and i don't smoke myself. I do not consider myself to be holier than anybody else, but asking guests to not smoke in my living quarters is asking for a respect of boundaries and space of which I am sure most expats are happy to oblige to. Can always go on to the porch to light one up if it really bothers you.

I would have to agree in that case. For some FT's four bottles of beer is not so much. If they are a bit tipsy it's still ok to teach. Going to the class totally pissed is another story!

I don't smoke but fag smoke smells quite nice to me. Most of the really zealous anti-smoking types are reformed holier than thou given-uppers. If somebody visits my flat I say, please feel free to smoke and promptly produce an ash tray. The polution on the streets is likely to do you more harm than cigarette smoke.

As long as he doesn't fall down and hurt himself, a good teacher will excel if he's pissed. Good God, an FT's job in China is a long holiday job and he should enjoy himself.
