One thing that hasn't been mentioned so far re the original poster's list of complaints is that there must have been other foreign teachers working there too at that time. I wonder if that poster tried to gain their support. I'd have thought a list of complaints common to the full complement of expats there would carry much more weight than that presented by just one sole complainer. That said, perhaps the original poster was out on a limb, or the other expats there didn't want to be labelled as troublemakers by the Chinese staff, in case it would harm their chances of obtaining future employment in China, or perhaps they felt they had nothing to complain about!
