Re: "Mar(r)y Ann" and "her" spelling problems - velly good native "teacher" in China....LOL

But wifey say it, must true!

He's not the first old (or even young) guy on the interwebs to use the Chinese wife boast, either. It is rather surprising how many people believe that their Chinese is perfect because they have a Chinese wife. As far as Chinese language skills are concerned, it is the romantic equivalent of having a false degree certificate printed off the internet and then claiming that actually completed the whole 4 years of study and the dissertation.

Re: Beelzebub wife says, what do you know, you l****e s**t?

Your 'wife' is probably looking for a visa and she wouldn't want to let her poor 'Lao Gong' lose face, would she?

She already has indefinite leave to remain in the UK and no longer has to keep me happy to do so. it's very convenient, it means I can leave her in the UK and teach in China if I want to. She is allowed to leave the UK for two years at a time. She could become a British Citizen but that would mean losing her Chinese passport. She earns her own keep and even gives me money....but ,I didn't pick her up in a pink room or sleazy bar. She didn't have a pot to piss in when I met her-but, neither did I.

You are welcome to pull apart any little snippets of Chinese that i air......you do steer clear of actually explaining why my Chinese is wrong; and in deference to your criticism of pinyin use I switched to characters- I assume my use of that has been faultless? ...I don't actually think that i am the one at risk of losing face-am I right or am I right? hahaha-all good fun.

Well, the open invitation to do so was irresistable. He left himself wide open.

such as the troll whom you're responding to.

It still sounds like I am a long way from winning you around, Dragonised- maybe i don't know enough about you- you seem to have a special cause and a special reason-am I right or am I right? I don't think you are the average malcontent, the average moaner who comes to China and continues as per normal, but has found himself something politically correct to moan about.

Re: "Mar(r)y Ann" and "her" spelling problems - velly good native "teacher" in China....LOL

In this world, many people believe their own ignorance is more important than the truth of what others say, such as the troll whom you're responding to.

These types will try and find a reason to hate anybody, whether it be religion, gender, socio-economic performance, or race if you dare see things differently from them. If you want to know why China and the Chinese people are disliked by so many in the world, look at the kind of people they attract to there who actually want to live there for a long time.

But even this poster who says he loves China and the Chinese people is not being completely honest I think. He loves the fact that he can get away with doing, saying, and even believing in things that society otherwise will call him out on if he were back home where he was really from. His posts sounds like that of white writers from hundreds of years back who believed in the White Man's Burden, that all other races should be looked at and treated as children who are to be guided. Of course, if a child makes mistakes and sins they should not be held on the same level of accountability as that of an adult now should they? This leaves the notion that the meaning of "mistakes", "sins", and "bad" things cannot be applied to the folks that he is defending. What do you have in the end? Perfection! Anybody would believe their own creations with no flaws shouldn't be attacked, as this poster so willingly demonstrates.

No, I don't think they are "legends", just some posters (or one and the same under different aliases) who are too afraid to post under their real name and preferred to use a nick instead.
They perhaps might think that they are important. But they are not!

What's wrong with being afraid to post under your own name, Mr Carry? Well,(and I know who you are haha) certainly LondonGirl offered an embarrassment of ID as to whom she is- we have also seen her picture on facebook. I think actually there a lot in denial because she is a female- a lot of wounded pride that a female out-argued more or less every-body-every man. Yes, I could be called Nick, who knws- but the thing is with me is if my name and exact whereabouts was hung up in lights it would not be a disaster, en fin pour moi. All good fun though hahaha

Tell you what, like them or not, LondonGirl and Marry Ann have become legends. One good thing about being outraged by infamous posters is that they can keep ones mind off of really hurtful personal things in life-like, wife ran off with Doncaster Sewage Worker, vowing you will never see your kids again, in this life...a distraction from hideous reality, if you get my drift? High time, perhaps, that some-body emailed LG "We miss you- all is forgiven- please return, to forum-Love The seedy-Six" hahaha. wo shi dui de hai shi wo shi dui de?

Trolls stop truthful information from being passed on the board. How I wished I lived in a better world where people were not so greedy and training centers were lovely, professional places to work at. If only. Your statement would better be directed towards the person whom San Migs was responding to, not SMgs himself.

Are you serious??? you guys are the worst trolls I have ever seen! you all post about 300 times a day, usually whining about how you hate it here, but oddly never managing to progress to anything further. Didnt you all say that you earn threepence ha'penny at some backwater universities anyway? and arent you all middle aged and above? good gods , what are you doing with your lives?

You tell them. But don't tar all old farts with the same brush; I enjoy China and the Chinese people.

Re: "Mar(r)y Ann" and the real GW's are the worst racists, PERIOD!!

My assistant will answer for me and you will then reply to her. You can then get rid of me for good.

This is exactly why you don't get any respect, because you don't deserve any with that holier than thou attitude. What right do you have to ask others to provide for something that you yourself cannot attain (Chinese fluency). The gall of you to post saying that someone else answering for you is good enough because obviously you're too good to learn chinese to begin with, I think you just insulted every Chinese speaker out there. The real Chinese speakers are apparently beneath you. You employ a typical tactic of winning the argument at any cost by continually upping the ante, though why you believe you have ANY RIGHT to dictate terms to others is something your pea-brain cannot come around to.

Here's an example of the type of GW that I am talking about, one that fits Mary Ann pretty well:

GW: Hey, do you speak Chinese?

GW Translation:

I don't speak any, so I will get you to admit if you do or don't, that way I can redirect the convo in the way I choose.

Me: Yes, I do.

GW: That's good! It's important to know the language(note the better than you attitude). Chinese people are....{followed with a generalisation that makes no logical sense and can be applied to any culture/place/people} such as "...very smart", "very interesting to know", "very good at learning English".

GW Translation:

I don't know any chinese, but I will try to make this person believe I know what I'm talking about by being an ignoramous. I hope they haven't met too many idiots like me yet so I can continue this act.

Me: Okay, but I don't think China is that great, at least there are many things that needs to be changed before it can call itself a developed nation.

GW: No! C'mon! Don't say that, you sound like a racist when you make thost comments. China is so great, so are the people.

GW Translation:

OH MY GOD! I just met someone who is trying to be honest, thoughtful, and assertive in their own beliefs which try to attain something called...VIRTUE??? NOOOO! I must stop them at all costs from saying anything. First, I will call them a doo-doo head and other names to make them feel ashamed.

Me: You actually sound like you don't have any experience living in china, at the very least you don't really socialize or converse with the locals too much. I think if you overlooked the facts, an educated Chinese individual who is actually trying to improve the situation in this country that he/she loves so much would be insulted by your attitude that everything was A ok.

GW: Well... DO YOU SPEAK CHINESE?? PROVE IT!! Write A, B, and C for me in Chinese. Speak E, F, and G in this dialect. I'll bet you don't know how to twirl your fingers, juggle three pandas, and spin on your head all at the same time while singing the Chinese national anthem in reverse Mandarin now, CAN YOU?? No!! I didn't think so!

GW Translation:

I'm an A-Hole, but I have no other recourse due to being an imbecile than to make other people feel intimidated by my stupidity and hope that they mistake it for intelligence!
XD

I will close by saying that if I had to personally share any chinese to the likes of you, I would christen you a "turtle's egg". Perhaps you have heard of the Chinese slang for turtle? Together with Chinese for egg that actually makes for a three character phrase which sounds like a name. Hint: The first character is WANG, as in the most common surname in China. Try to make an effort and do some research on what the next 2 characters are.

Hi Boys

Any of us can copy material from the internet. In that way I could make myself look like a Welsh language expert. I've boxed Turnoi into a corner asking for a post to me me in Chinese(talking about what we have been talking about but no bad language for my Chinese assistant to suffer) and the two of you must now resort to suggesting I be banned from the site. Imagine how stupid you could make me look. One letter please, very simple for a fluent Chinese speaker. My assistant will answer for me and you will then reply to her. You can then get rid of me for good.
