You mean...you should ask him. There is no "we".

It was a 'Royal We,' Dragonised.

Re: You've got a wife? That's nice.

Being a fashion model takes more than just "standing there" and "looking good". I have known people who worked in the entertainment industry and I know for a fact that preserving your image is something that you must incorporate and intertwine into your own personal life. Things such as fasting for a whole week, eating nothing but fruits and veggies are things I cannot do. Obsessing over your diet in a way that would make anyone else lost sight of common sense is something that people who do this job must possess in order to stay on top of the competition. Also, photo shoot schedules do not run on a normal working timetable so you may be getting home late. The competition is quite cutthroat, and it isn't something that just looking good that qualifies you. You may need a lot of guts in dealing with characters (just like in the ESL industry) and commitment to being excellent. I am sure though the poster whom you are responding to can give good advice on what clothes looks good for many various occasions, which is nothing to sneeze at.

I think our Silverboy is a bloke, Dragonised. All I imagine he had to do was a bit of jogging and lift a few weights to look like the hunk I am sure he is. I think he was a part-time hod carrier to keep in condition-we should ask him.

Re: You've got a wife? That's nice.

I have met more than a few foreigners in China who even at 60 still have nothing. No wonder they live in China, they might have wanted to stay in their own countries but could not afford it.

We should also remember the Chinese women who in their forties and fifties have no money or savings: They are equally as bad IMHO.

Now you used to be a fashion model, Silverboy, which probably means that with no effort put in by yourself, you are a bit of a handsome bugger. I mean to say, if most of us uglier types wanted to go mincing down the catwalk, they'd tell us to get lost. So, with the greatest of respect, you earned your stash by just standing around looking cool and handsome-jolly good work if you can get it! Maybe you should try and help these ne'er-do-well old codgers- there but for the grace of God......
