Re: Don't be a sad sensitive little git if Mr Weng calls you foreign twit.

I should say that I am always open to advise other FT's who have made a pig's ear of their relationships with Chinese people. Some of you have been over-sensitive and that may have been the reason you left your own countries in the first place- I suspect that is the case very much. You can tell me all about it if you want, and I will try and help. See me as an agony aunt if you please.

Don't be a sad sensitive little twit if Mr Weng calls you foreign twit.

You are dead wrong, you should be able to understand mandarin swear words, lest they are being directed at you.

No one likes to be called the "ta ma de lao wai", now am I right or am I right?

Well if I am wrong I am sure your darling lotus blossom can correct me, what was it she called me, little shit, she may be right about the shit part, but not the little....

That has never yet happened to me-I understand it has happened to some FT's; most of whom have trouble with voices in their heads, haha. The thing is this, dear boy, I wouldn't take it personally anyway-it would be shrugged off- two seconds after such a confrontation I would be most likely anguishing whether or not to add soyer sauce to my egg fried rice- would the salt content be too much? Don't be a sad sensitive little soul.

Re: You've got a wife? That's nice.

On a train, try to learn as many swearing expressions in Mandarin as possible, the rest you can take from your textbook anyway.

Haha-maybe a lot in what you say. I don't ever swear in English, and if some-body was to swear at me in mandarin, I'd sooner not know what they were on about- it's a part of languages i leave in the domain of the moronic masses, no matter what social strata they belong.
