Paying a recruiter to get a job is ridiculous based upon an absolutely wrong business model. It is because you are the client, and any employer is your "customer". It makes you dependent and therefore is counter to all positions of strength you should have on the job market to make your own educated decision who to work for or not.

BTW, recruiters mostly cannot be trusted, there are far too many crooks among them. Just avoid them and contact schools directly!

Let's be clear that most recruiters who spot your profile and contact you, don't ask you for any fee, they get their fees from the school. You do of course have to be a little bit careful because they can sell fridges to Eskimos.....but, alas, if the FT is an absolute idiot...well..no advise for that really...apart from giving them a link to this site so they can start grumbling when things go awry Hahaha
