I live in Tianjin and I heard some of their current foreign teachers complaining about Kings English in the pub last week. One of the guys told me they teach very young kids and that while the work duration is pretty short it is a complete nightmare + the foreign manager is a complete douche!

Most if not all these TSs are a waste of time! I work in a state school and it's hell of alot better...

Pub? Do you mean a bar-i know of one place that calls itself an Irish pub- certainly no British pubs that i know of in Tianjin. A pub has to have a landlord and landlady, or it's not a pub.....but was that short for public toilet hahaha?

Lots of private learning centres in Tianjin, some good, some bad; many FT's in Tianjin say they work for state schools but they don't really, they work for notorious private schools like Yuming and ACES, who send you out to work in state schools. Do you work for a state school or just at a state schools? By golly there's some diabolical state schools in Tianjin..as far as an FT's job is concerned- overhaul they may be quite good.
