Re: International Teaching Advantage

And you as The Wanker's ally on degreediscussion.com make use of an alias yourself. So what is your rant all about?
In reality, you must be the infamous pedophile Suzhou Kevin we all know and dislike! Shame on you!

It doesn't matter if there is another alias out there or not for this website, currently or previously.

Re: International Teaching Advantage

The difference is that I can probably command more respect on this board as I don't defend shit recruiters, unlike you.

Besides, we are all teachers who can often spot a person's writing style a mile off, the name that I use wouldn't make the slightest bit of difference. They still know that it is me.

Although there was another 'John' that was posting on here too, but I think most people worked that out, but he was just another guy, not an imposter.

Re: International Teaching Advantage

1.) It isn't a big secret that 'John O'Shei' is not my real name. Hell, I'd actually feel offended if you ever believed that it was.

2.) It's the internet, who uses their real names on forums, really? Hell, I've even met people in real life on forums and the username will still get used outside as a common nickname. Even after I've introduced myself by my real name. This doesn't tend to happen in ESL as to be perfectly honest, I can't really relate to the vast majority of teachers in China, despite there being a few good regular posting guys on here.

3.) You are obviously a special little foreign downy rather than a Chinglish speaking one, who has failed to learn any Chinese whatsoever. This is proven by your mistaken belief that I am spelling my posting alias nickname somehow incorrectly.

4.) Once again, you failed to realise that the name of my alias refers to my wish to remain anonymous. Even HSK level 1 students would instantly get that one, but you aren't going to work that one out by licking windows, bothering corpses or cleaning sewers for a living, are you?

5.) You have been given the chance to point out other names that I have used. Go ahead and do so, I don't really give a toss. I'm not going to feel guilty about causing trouble for anybody that runs a shit school.

And yes, I probably have used the odd one-off alias for the odd joke post on here, but to be honest I feel slightly too old to be posting goatse.cx or meatspin etc to wind people up these days. Although I should probably start doing that on the off-chance that it would make some silly Chinese person that defends a shitty TC cry at the shock horror of it.

6.) Silverboy made a very good post about staying anonymous in another thread. I guess you want to keep your work away from your private life. Also there's all the wumao crew out there, why would you want to announce your real identity to the world?

Re: International Teaching Advantage

It doesn't matter if there is another alias out there or not for this website, currently or previously. The probable facts are that a) "John O'Shea" is not your real name and b) you have been a poster at this site under a different name before. Whether it be one previous name or a dozen does not matter a whit. You calling someone out on using more than one name here is hypocritical. Even long time users such as Turnoi and Silverboy have submitted different user names when they've needed more "support" for whatever cause they were blathering on about. It's obvious most everyone does it. Insulting someone about it is fairly pointless.

I think you will find that I’ve solely used this name for quite a while. If you think that there's another alias out there that represents me, go ahead, point it out and expose me.

We don't even need the names to work out who people are on here, lol.

Re: International Teaching Advantage

In this case, you are. But even with your latest alias, you are still a bellend.

But isn't "John O'Shea" YOUR latest alias? What's the diff?

I think 'descent' is the wrong word here! Descendancy would fit the bill if indeed that word exists! Better still is 'ancestry'!
Am I right or am I right?

Lineage or heritage would be better I agree. It's the sort of thing my students come out with, although you can understand what they mean of course. Descent is a perfectly valid word when talking or origins and so forth. But no it didn't fit that sentence.

I would tell an Asian American facing discrimination in China to take pride in his descent............
