Re: Andinet International School In Addis

Sour grapes and an inability to adapt, no. I enjoyed my time in Ethiopia as a whole, love and respect the people there and have nothing bad to say about Addis as a whole. My issue is with the way that I was treated at this particular school in terms of the expectations the administration set when they hired me and what the actual outcomes were. This specifically has to do with the head of that school and not the city, country or people of Ethiopia. In fact, I have since secured another position here in Addis with another school (ICS) and am very comfortable and happy. I just wish the head of school had been honest with me about my contract, reimbursement of airfare, where I would end up teaching and what the school environment was like in terms of the kids being a bit spoiled at that school (no real discipline in place). Had she been more honest, I would not have been so bitterly disappointed and angry enough to post here. In future, hopefully she won't like to new hires.

P sounds like a naive GW to me, if she was in China, she would use the but this is China, things are done differently gambit, you have to adapt.

I don't agree with anything she has to say, and it is all rot!
