Re: China Tefl Network Helen Group, Hangzhou, urgent warning!

I have met highly educated people that are absolutely useless dildos in quite a few jobs, but that does not ever justify fake qualifications. I would sooner have no qualifications than fake qualifications!

Hence I just have a bachelors degree, I am considering doing a masters, but there is no way on earth that I would ever buy a fake PhD certificate when I am capable of getting a real one, should I one day decide to commit to it.

Ok, I am sorry if I misinterpreted what you wrote. It seems you were saying someone COULD work in China with fake, or at most very, very semi-legal, Ph.D credentials, but you did not suggest they SHOULD. So, yep, I apologize for that.

I will say again though, nobody should work in another country and pretend to be a professor. Yeah, in China people can and do get away with it. In Thailand or Korea however, be warned people, don't even think of passing yourself off as a professor in those places. They do check there, and the penalties for using fake papers can be quite severe.

No worries, mate. But I didn't even mention semi-legal 'Ph.D credentials' only totally legal rotten ones, not bricks & mortar attended ones. As for illegal foreign teachers in China. I don't condone it, but many of them do a better job than guys with bad but legal degrees. That's a fact, mate.
