Re: Sammi English School in Tongyeong, South Korea - ESL school review

I taught at Sammi's School for a year (August '08 - '09), and had a fantastic experience; I know Sammi's opening a second school, so things might have changed, but at the time, I was the only foreign English teacher at the school, which was challenging but also enabled me to become very close with some of the students. If I weren't back in school, I would go back in a second!

If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

Re: Yes School - ESL school review

I was recruited by the of the Yes school's in Ulsan.
After talking to the foreign teacher's I know that I didn't want to work at this school.
All the teacher's where leaving after their first contracts and looking for other schools. The school offered lower pay than another hakwons.
One of the korean teachers tryed to tell me that I would get backlisted and kicked out of the country if I didn't sign the contract with Yes school in Ulsan.
I found a public school in Gangwon-do that pays more money, more time off, and less work.
Make sure that you talk to one of the foreign teacher's at the school and not a korean who speaks english.
