I was saying to Silverboy that in my four years in China I have learned that many Chinese use 'professor' in the same was as the French for ordinary teachers (even non qualified ones) So for example; and I don't know the age of your students; they can say mate(in English) "Turnoi est professeur des ecole." I think that this misusing of professor is getting blown out of all proportion.
And allowing them to use English in such an incorrect way, is not going to help them when they are forced to use the language outside of China.
