Glad to see your response T. I just want to clarify that when I said " the individualistic nature of public university teachers", I mean FT's, not Chinese. Most Chinese teachers still have a collective mindset, which is why many of them are useless.
The problem with foreigners at TC's is that they start to think like Chinese and will resort to all sort of corrupt and illegal activities in order to make a few extra bucks ( or rmb )

Really, they are scum, pathetic low-life trash that are a waste of oxygen!

Another problem with FT's at TC's, is that they tend to possess far less skills than your average real teacher and are far less employable back home, meaning that the TC FT has far more to lose than your average real teacher as well.

If a real teacher feels like they are getting screwed around, they have other jobs to go to, can probably even get work back home even in the worst of economic situations. A typical TC FT has far more to lose, they are in the less chance salon and will resort to absolutely anything to solidify their position and prevent threats to their position, such as intimidating or gossiping about superior quality teachers (the irony is that most do indeed get fed up and leave... to better jobs), working together with the more corrupt Chinese staff, etc.
