Chinaesl

A warning to those seeking jobs as ESL teachers in China.

Particularly this company (but many others as well) will take all of your personal information while you apply through them and post every last little detail on their website for everyone to see. This happened to me twice, once the company had my full passport page posted along with resume, pictures etc. I didn't even take a job from them since they wouldn't hire me on a legal visa.
Think twice about sending your personal details.

Not only does this company hire illegally and has a reputation of screwing over their teachers, but they will post all of your information on their website for the world to see (even if you don't work for them)

Recently the Chinese government passed a law detailing that any company is not allowed to post personal information or third party information online without permission. (Not like the law really matters in China). But identity theft is very common in these types of cases. Don't think anyone would want their life posted online, including their passport, resume, pictures phone number address etc.
