Re Opinions on AALC THAILAND

Do not work for this agency. I was ripped off 65,000 baht. I basically worked for free 2 months! Pat was my agent.

What's the fine for, overstaying your visa? I've been fined a couple of times for overstaying my visa in Thailand. I calculated it was cheaper to pay the fine than do a border-run to extend the visa- by the time you make your way to the border et cetera. The good thing about searching for a job in Thailand is that you can physically jump on your bike, or walk, and knock on doors. We flew over from Kunming (only an hour) just for 4 days once, and spent the whole time making unsolicited calls on schools. I can tell you we had a selection of jobs to choose from by the end of that exploratory trip. We also had a shopping list to fit in in Bangkok, which comprised of 4 or 5 degrees for other FT's in China. However, they may provide a good degree service in Thailand but you can't use them there- for teaching I mean.

Re Opinions on AALC THAILAND

I been reading very ones posts about AALC first thing if emailed outside of Thailand by teacher never reply to many times gone to airport and no show by teacher agency gets fine per day there isn't teacher at school. Know this as work for agency hiring teachers. Next website don't judge a book by its cover. Now about AALC they have many schools, I work for them for two years teaching at Thai schools they paid me on time every month one or two times a day late, they did non b and work permit for me. Mainly when teacher don't get paid cause miss days of school or school said to agency get rid of teacher students don't like the teacher, so school only pay ex amount of dollars or sometimes not pay at all. Standard wage Thailand 30000 baht.Thai teacher 8000 baht some of them ones teaching long time maybe 22000 baht these teachers train four years get degree in education, when foreigner does 4 week course then complaints to Thai teachers they not paid good enoughn. Once again I have done English camps and work at schools for AALC two years and always been paid. There are two sides to a story well three one is one person the other person then the truth. This makes me sad people post or say bad and never say what really happen with school or agency most times its the foreigner teacher cause students didn't like them.

Opinions on AALC THAILAND

I am wondering if anyone has worked for AALC THAILAND.

AA Language Center.

They said on May 13 that the positions start "immediately" but they were saying that on May 5, too.

The website they still include in their emails has expired but has been replaced by this one:

http://kawaipat.wix.com/aalc

Mr Akarin and "Pat Kawai" appear to be officials.

Any opinions on this operation appreciated.
