And Japanese culture is more "spiritual" than the Mainland Chinese is these days.

I can't forgive the Japanese for their ww2 atrocities,having had a family member who suffered at the hands of the Japanese. I also dislike the way they deny the history and teach that Japan was a great imperial power to their students. That would be akin to British history teachers teaching UK students that the british empire was great and never killed anyone or destroyed lives....the massacre in India and selling opium to China would prove otherwise. The Railway Man lays out a lot of the history, of how they treated the British in Thailand. They also tried to rape women in HK during WW2 when it was under British control. For me, no love of the japanese, that and their blatant theft of technology and their self congratulatory back slapping in the 80s....until their financial crisis hit. A very arrogant race of people.
