The reason why I am writing these blogs is to honestly warn other teachers about this company. China can be an interesting place to live and I met a lot of good Chinese people. And, many students are eager to learn and many Chinese people love making foreigner friends. This is what I loved about living in China. The thing I don't miss, this company. This company will make many promises and keep few of them. Honestly, if you get suckered into working for this company like I did, you will regret it at least half the time and hear other teachers bitch about it the rest of the time. And if you actually make it through your year, you have to be either desperate or crazy to stay with them. The only people that seem to stay with this company are old people, people from countries where English is not the main language, people with no other options or at least think they don't, or lazy people. I had better job offers the moment I got into China and knew from day one, I made a mistake. I knew I wasn't going to stay with this company for long and I was right.

Warning to all that see this. Stay away from this company. There are way, way, way better jobs in China or even other places abroad. Granted, you may get lucky and think they are treating golden. It's all smoke and mirrors. You have Stockholm's Syndrome. That's the illusions because you are in a new country and think you are needed in this company. You are a number because Helen will get other unsuspecting people to work for them. And realize that if you don't regret it at first, you will. You will regret it every time you get your pay check, you will regret it when you have to submit your hours every month and they try to dock your pay for every little thing, you will regret it when you realize that there are better jobs in China if you just apply yourself like I did and find other part time and other tutoring jobs, you will regret it when you meet other teachers that are making two, three, four times what you are making, you will regret it when you realize that few of the promises made to you are ever keep, you will regret it when you hear other teachers working for this company or that have worked for this company for years bitch, bitch, bitch, but never do anything about it and realize you are on the ship of the damned. You are warned, all of you that read this and still take a job with this company.
