Why are you so obsessed with kids making faces?!

Does kids having fun offend you in some way?!

Making faces is not part of a lesson, but we are people not impassive robots and if making a silly face at a kid makes them smile and engage with you and what you are teaching them, it's not a problem! Considering most communication is non-verbal, children often take cues from the adults facial expression and body language, exaggerating facial expressions in order to connect with a young learner is perfectly acceptable. It doesn't mean you are teaching funny faces, it is just another tool in the YL teachers toolbox for building a relationship with their students.

As you have said on other threads, you are not qualified to teach YL classes and nor do you want to, so what exactly gives you the idea that you are an authority on how those classes should be taught? And seeing as you have admitted to having no experience or interest in the field, why are you so obsessed with rubbishing it when you clearly have no idea what is involved in the practice of YL teaching?
