Better to bring police disclosure check in hand, just in case. The chinese see nothing wrong in making you flit home at your expense, as and when it suits.

That's good thinking. Thanks for the tip.

Re teachinchina88 Jobs and CVs, CColin or CChiang = Frank Zhang

WARNING!

For those who know and for those who don' t - Jobs and CVs - is the new email of the infamous Frank Zhang from Shanghai.
Frank Zhang is the worst possible ESL agent in China who has been cheating, lying and misleading the ESL teachers in China for more than ten years. He lures the foreign teachers with promises before coming to China and than he refuses to provide the conditions stipulated in the contract. He is devilish and cunning!

JUST STAY AWAY FROM FRANK ZHANG AND HIS AVATARS. IT's DANGEROUS TO MIX WITH THESE PEOPLE!

Do you or your friends need a new teaching job in the new spring semester that starts from Feb 20th...

I arrive in China on a Q visa 14th February. I could apply for a married-to-a-Chinese-spouse when I get there, maybe, if you're prepared to employ me unofficially on a nod's-as-good-as-a-wink-basis? I should say that I bristle with degrees, but only one, a TEFL, appertains to teaching. I rather think I want to return to The UK at the end of the Spring Festival, and so the Autumn is what I have in mind.

Hello,
It is the time for us to recruit new teachers for the coming spring semester 2015 for our top schools.
Do you or your friends need a new teaching job in the new spring semester that starts from Feb 20th...
I will recommend some suitable schools of our top clients from all over China to you. But Can you Please tell me your reuqirements?
Please tell us:
1. Where do you want to teach? Which Province or which city
2. What level students? Children or College students?
To teach Children in private schools can always get high paid, but you need to work more hours, and sometimes you need to work on weekends or evenings.
To teach College students can always get paid 5,000-7,000rmb a month, but it is too much less working time than to teach in private schools, You ONLY need to work on weekdays, and you have no office hours, too. It means that you have too much free time to do other jobs or part-time teaching jobs if you choose to teach in a college/University.
If you are interested to get a new job in Feb/2105, Please send me your updated Resume and some other necessary documents, I will recommend your documents to the suitable clients, too. They will contact you direclty and do interviews and then sign a contract with you directly. and then they will pay me some commission to us after you sign a contract with them and arrive at their school to start to teach. We will never take part in your employment contract with your host school/employer. You will get paid direclty from your school.
If you don't need a new job, Can you Please introduce some foreigners to me who want to teach in China?
Yours Truly

This outfit scams both the foreigners and the Chinese. This group also uses the name of CColin or CChiang. The same group will send you emails using different email addresses. This group will offer you a job with a contract but as we all know Chinese contracts are no more reliable than Mao Zedong of Mao Zedunghill. After the contract is signed , a plethora of surprising, conflicting new requirements come. So in effect there never was a contract. You see it and get away. But the Chinese university appears to be manipulated as well by these con-artists.
