If you are by any means actually a decent teacher or holding real qualifications of any sort, you may find yourself ruled out for the 'DoS' job on the basis that you are overqualified.
I have had that happen. I know of a few dos'es who do not even have degrees, or a degree even remotely relevant to the english language. The whole thing is an outrageous scam, and parents, students and teachers alike are being ripped off. There would be an outcry if there was a cartel like these training centres in any other area of business, yet somehow they are getting away with it.
If however, you are a slightly psychotic, possibly alcoholic, middle-aged wanker, that is a bit of shit stirrer (Training centre bosses fear FTs developing friendships and defending each other!) and will happily try to bully and intimidate anybody who is younger, weaker or just better than you at teaching, you'll most likely get the job! Please be aware that it is not unusual for these kind of people to get bottled/glassed whenever they go out for a beer at their local expat bar. That's just the kind of sacrifice you'll have to make.
What utter nonsense!!

Either that or the authorities back home eventually have a nice chat with the Chinese authorities, get their visa cancelled and get them deported. Previous offences back home aren't forgotten, you see?
