I have higher level students who come to me for advise

Students who trust private language schools apparently get the advise (sic) they deserve.

You know what is funny about your post?

The fact that students in China who go to private language schools are the ones who generally top their language class. Those are the exact same students who will be going onto the universities and you'll be teaching once we have done the hard work of getting them up to a good standard of ability and then you just ride on the coat tails of the hard work done by others.

I work less hours as a Director of Studies than I did while working in finance in the UK. To say I will get burned out working 5 days a week and getting 3 weeks paid personal vacation time as well as a week at Spring Festival and National Day, as well as time off at Tomb Sweeping day, Labor day, Mid-Autum Festival, Christmas & New Year is quite frankly a joke. (This was said by another person I know, I just couldn't be bothered replying to different posts)

"Academic level is crap, crap, crap?" That is your own opinion and you're free to have it, but at least at my center we have qualified teachers with plenty of credentials and our courses are all CEFR alligned, which is much more than most private language schools can say.

I have higher level students who come to me for advise on applications into universties and counselling, you think your job is so high and mighty, get off your high horse. I never once said that private language education was better than public education, I never belittled anyones job, but here you are thinking you are better than every one else. Why is it that so many people who work in universities think they are better than every one else? It's such a cliche from university teachers in ESL.
