Re Metaphysics with a hint of Sufism?

Sorry, the pubs name is not 'The Man' but is called 'The Salutation',he mentioned something about a salutation in his post and so I assumed he frequented that pub in Ipswich, but then I don't know where he was born and raised and studied in the UK.

Being in Asia, I do miss an honest to goodness english tavern sometimes, the smoky smell, decent grub, and real ale on tap. Mind, like you I am perfectly happy with a glass or two of red inside though.

That's the name of a pub in Suffolk that serves big plates of food...did you study round there?

Blimey good work; you must have been a private dick before a teacher!? So now we know that our CL was knocking back steaks in a Suffolk tavern known as 'The Man'-is that right? If you can pinpoint the lodgings I'll get one of them blue signs put up "CL Lived here as a student 1952" or whatever.

I was an undergraduate and we called each other "Man" by way of
a salutation.
