So if a jerk shows up and starts to work at an EF, either as a teacher or a DOS, and upsets the balance of happiness of the team, is that the fault of the manager? Or that teacher/DOS? Is the manager/co-worker able to sit the jerk down and tell him/her to knock it off, keep your mouth shut, and do your work? Do rules of decorum and personal conduct not apply when a person leaves home? Happiness with a job isn't guarenteed or a fringe benefit. Its pretty stupid for a person to think they will be happy with a job just because some recruiter or interviewer says everybody else likes their job there. That idea is pretty lame.
Why is the quality of a school or position always discussed from the point of view of what teachers can get out of it, and not what the teachers can offer or provide to the students or school?
I do not know about the costs of attending many schools but in my experience here in China is that EF is one of the more expensive schools for a student to attend. It also seems that if you are a teacher at an EF school one term it may be ok to work at but if the DOS changes or a hard ass teacher shows up it then becomes a terrible school to work at. I have met a few EF teachers that liked their work. We all have our own ways to look at life.
Does 'all EF are crap' include EF Hutton?
