Re: Srithammarat Suksa Christian School

Hi Brent,

I am possibly moving to Nakhon next year and was wondering if this school would be an option for an English student who would be starting grade 1 next year? She has limited Thai but I would like her to be learning her curriculum in English.

Could you possibly suggest any other schools in the area that would be able to offer us an English curriculum?

Thanks for your help
Trish

Re: Srithammarat Suksa Christian School

Hi James,

My name is Brent, and I have been teaching at Sri Thammarat Suksa for the past 2.5 years. I have really enjoyed it. The negative reviews you are reading come from one source: a very disgruntled former teacher named Greg, who was asked to leave after repeatedly screaming at students and mocking their Buddhist beliefs (though this school is Christian, all beliefs must be respected). He runs one of the major websites, and continually deletes any positive posts that other teachers write. He also writes negative reviews under many different names. I am sure you can see why someone like him was asked to leave. For my part, I have found Sri Thammarat Suksa to be a great place. My first year and a half here were perfect, and although the past year hasn't been quite as great (due to a new and inexperienced Thai boss), overall it is still a good place, and I am sad to leave.

What strange policies are you referring to? I am just curious. No place is perfect, and I do have a few small complaints about our school (the work day is a bit long, but then again our salary is very good), but I am wondering what policies would strike you as "strange". Please feel free to email me if you have any questions, I would be happy to help you out in any way I can:-) I can also give you the email addresses of other teachers, if you would like to talk to them. Take care and good luck in making a decision!

Srithammarat Suksa Christian School

Hi, Anyone know anything about Sithammarat Suksa School in Nakorn Si Thammarat Thailand? I read some things on the internet that didn't seem to good, but after emailing to other teachers from there, it sounds ok. All of them talked about how good the school is, and how beautiful the area is,but said there where strange policies, that was also a little scary. The other school I'm looking at is Rajapat University in Surat Thanni. Although, form the websites and information gathered, I think I would like Srithammarat better, but am a bit afraid after reading other post. However I did notice that those post are from 2006 and 2007 and seem to be missing post in between. Just want to make an informed choice. Thanks for any information on either school.
