Publishing is in fact a good career. I am friends with a japanese girl who at 36 has achieved a lot of success in publishing books for teaching english and japanese amongst others. I think that is a good move for former esl teachers to get into. Not to give too much away, but I am currently working in proofreading, I will leave it there.

I have no ESL credential and do not want one...I am glad you get some measure of satisfaction from teaching ESL ...I am publishing an detaching at universities in the West in a real subject, not ESL....You could do that. Just go back to school and get a grad degree. e.You can do it. As an older person I try to nurture young people. One day you will be middle aged and I sure hope you are more educated, and are more than an ESL teacher then. You can do it!

Let's not be too hard on the educational dinosaur. This old man is confused. His experience and credentials are outdated. Retire and go away.
