Well, I would just say nobody should rely on an employer, especially some rubbish training centre to stay in China or any other country. Have enough money so you can leave a crappy job if you need to and then you can re-apply for another visa more easily, even if you have to travel to another country temporarily. I feel sorry for people who feel teaching in China, especially at a private school is their only option in life.

I must query the travelling part. Why should such a deceitful employer be allowed to exist? EV is NOT a private school, but a deceitful agent. I have requested that Sarah remove EV from the English schools in China thread. Money has nought to do with it, EV is mis-named, it's not a private training center in the way it operates in the main. Some of us have money to afford the travelling, but why should we have to travel because the employer is deceitful and vindictive about our not wishing to renew the contract?
We shouldn't accept that kind of deceit because it's happening in China, and we should do our best to get that kind of employer closed down for good.
