the case never went to court. the family had their own cell phone, and Flora got in trouble with the Chinese ministry department for physical abuse by throwing the young son into a conference table and into chairs, hurting him. the latter occurred because she made all three children wait all day to get paid for helping all summer and she printed 10,000 pamphlets with their faces and never told the family. making promises to all kinds of promises to prospective students about the American children.
Flora also tried to take 7000 rmb insurance money the family earned at another job before. The insurance company told Flora she had no rights to the money.
The mother was not strange. she did not like her children used and abuses. So the family left. end of rumors.

gud luck to all,
These people have a grudge to bear with Capital once Flora rescinded her offer of a partnership when she realised the parents ( mother esp)were very strange.
I also heard they left their apartment with a 6000 RMB telephone bill and because they left with no notice, Ms. Xu lost her 4000 rmb housing deposit.
The case went to court, they were found guilty but as they could never be located, the court's decision could never be enforced
I had no problems with the school, worked there for 2 years and had nothing but a pleasant, co-operative relationship with Ms. Xu.

In June of 2000 I was in Guangzhou with my family when my parents received and offer to teach at a ESL school in Zhongshan. Because we were white Capital Language School used my brother 13, sister 6, and my self 10 at the time, to do all there advertising. When they printed out the fliers Ms.Xu decided it would be more efficient if my siblings and I handed out the fliers. She stated that it would attract more people. My parents agreed as long as we were supervised and only gone for a couple of hours. We left at 7am and did not come back until 9pm . the entire day Flora only allowed us a 30 minute break for lunch at McDonald's.
Flora then decided that she would use my brother and I as ESL teachers for her summer school program, she promised us a salary of 1000 RMB per month. At the end of the two month term she withheld pay for several months and only paid us 880 RMB total each. She did not abide by the contract and give the promised amount of RMB. We were paid less than a months salary and we were constantly overworked being expected to teach a class of 40 students at the ages of 10 and 13. She was abusive toward my brother while he waited in the conference room to be paid. He was tapping the desk and Flora threw him into the wall. We only agreed to the job in the first place because we forced into it and thought that are parents would be fired if we did not comply
When my family quit we were accused of causing $7000 worth of damage to the apartment they put us in, and had a false lawsuit brought upon us.
If you are going to china its best to work for an American, British, or Canadian organization.
SINCERELY,
Alex
