Let's be frank, Frank.
I have never met a foreign teacher who gives a stuff about his reputation with the Chinese populous.
Anyone who says something like this is either a fake or a monumental loser.
Either way this opinion is about as valid as saying Shimen Middle School is a good school.
Yes maybe for a Chinese school baring in mind in the not too distant past the ruling powers that be destroyed all that is education or educated so the Chinese doesn't value education so much. Now the value is based on money so a 'good school' in China doesn't mean much. They don't know what's good as you clearly also have not the foggiest.
"I would like to thank them for giving me this opportunity to develop as a teacher" seriously? Who's dick are you sucking?

I remember walking past this guy and greeting him with a response of "hehehe" he's been with the school for 14 years, the two of us being the only foreign teachers in the school.
Only wise words I got from this chap was 'hehe' like a shy school girl.

Shimen Middle School, is a good school. Some unfair comments. I don't mind it there. I get on with the work, stay away from politics and help the kids. My reputation there has mulitplied in value, since results became visible or noticable by the examination board.
I would like to thank them for giving me this opportunity to develop as a teacher with ELLs.

No gas hob, just the canister. Not sure if it was full or not. Doubtful.
Well the iceing on the cake must have been the fact that the house was teeming with mozzies when we arrived. Also the broken windows that didn't close. Also the complete lack of mosquito netting.
But my favorite was how when it rained water came up through the drains and drenched the floor.
Very hygienic and a huge plus for my 1 year old child.
But the busted toilet and broken washing machine was also a great bonus. When fixed it would wash no more items of clothing.
Like I said, perfect for a young family.
