Avoid Ma-Seok Public Elementary School - ESL school review

I some how survived a year contract at this school. Not because I should have stayed that long but because after putting up with that much bullshit I decided that I deserved the completion bonus. This is the most incompitent group of people I have ever met in my life. The housing was terrible. It was filthy and even had molded food in the refrigerator when I arrived. There was no hot water or heat until the second day there. They told me they had given me the wrong information about overtime compensation four months after the contract began and tried to renig on the agreement and take back $2500. They screwed up my vacation over both breaks. Even the easiest things repeatedly got screwed up by these people. There were two Koreans at the school that spoke some English. One only cared about her self and was worthless when it came to everything and the other one worked for this person and always referred me back to her when I needed anything done. My girlfriend should have been on the payroll there becauses she ended up doing most of the things that my supervisor should have been doing. Those who dont believe that it could be this bad are welcome to geve it a try. However, they are currently looking for their fifth different foreign teacher in five years. I really wish that I had been warned before taking this job.

FT Union - South Korea - ESL school review

I sent my original degree to this recruiting agency three years ago when I initially considered coming to South Korea. I arrived here through another recruiting agent (thank goodness), am loving it and am still here.

I have reported my original degree lost and had it replaced after trying to no avail to get it back from FT Union. Despite e-mails (got two responses) and changed telephone numbers (theirs - not mine), still no joy.

If this agency is unable to manage original documents vital to employment, be wary about anything else they promise they could do for ya.
