Beware of the following ad just posted the other day on here:

Bien Hoa Viet Nam
By:Anh Van My Viet <idofly2009@yahoo.com>
Date: 30 May 2012

Seeking for two native English teachers.

15 hours and up per week

$15- $22 per hours

with experience in teaching academic English.

I needed in June 2012

This woman will not pay you more than $15 an hour and it'll be rare when you get more than 15 hours a week. She'll make lots of promises (you can use their motorbike, she'll find you housing between 4-6M dong, you'll have adult and kids classes, etc.), but the truth is because it's very difficult to get any foreigner into Bien Hoa, she says anything she can to persuade you to work at the school. The staff is decent to work for, and she does pay on time, but the vast majority of students are rug rats running around and controlling the school ("I've yelled at them before, but they don't stop" is her famous quote when you complain about the noise and lack of discipline in the school). She claims it's an American English language school with only American teachers, but the books are British English, one of the teachers is from Wales, and she completely ignores the foreign teachers unless she has to fire them. All of the teachers there had the same problems and thoughts about this woman. Personally, it looks as though she has something against Americans.

This is not a school you really want to work at unless you love lack of discipline, lack of a semi-fixed schedule, lack of transportation, lack of a place to live that doesn't include the word 'guesthouse'. And beware that even though she's traveled to the U.S. several times, she still has the Vietnamese ideology that her employees should work 7 days a week.
