If you are an FT working 9-5 at a school in China then that is a rubbish job.
If you are an FT that really enjoys teaching, those hours might be ideal but wouldn't suit me.
If a teacher is not allowed to discipline the kids, "too strict" as you said, then that is a rubbish school IMO. Chinese kids need discipline, they are spoilt, their parents won't discipline them, if an FT brings them into line that's a good thing.
Not for the FT-you'd have to be constantly curbing them- best let them do as they please, no skin off my nose.
As for a teacher being "boring" ,I've heard that garbage many times. His/her class was boring, so he was a" bad teacher", typical illogical and stupid Chinese mindset. Sometimes learning is boring. Are you an entertainer or a teacher? Way too much "edutainment" in China, that "you are a good teacher if the students like you" stupidity.
Doesn't worry me if they think I am boring- I'm only here for the beer hahaha.
Like I've said before, many foreigners ( especially older guys ) come to China and other Asian countries to have an easier life. They DON'T want to work 40 or 50 hours a week at rubbish training centres. For you to call other teachers "lazy" is an insult. You don't know about their background or lifestyle.
I found that you do get more of a chance to grope the teacheresses and studentesses as an outcome of long hours at crap training centres- you tend to share more lunches together to arrange out-of-hours liaisons.
Your GW attitude won't go down well on this site. And be careful what you wish for: It sounds like you are challenging other teachers to pick a fight with you. You may be some lout with tattoos and think you're tough, always someone tougher out there mate!
Down well will whom, Silverboy? - it's that same old Sniggering Hyena forum ownership mentality rearing its ugly head again. Apart from that, good post, well said SB. Have you got a bird yet; not one of them pink-caged varieties. all good fun.
