The truth of a situation is not really something most of the posters on this board really care about. They're more concerned with validating each others sordid opinions than they are with being decent teachers and/or human beings.

Unfortunately, I have to agree with you. However, there may well be MANY MORE READERS THAN POSTERS who are interested in the truth. We already know that some Chinese employers issue contracts to their FTs in which the Chinese version differs from the English version. In the case of a dispute about a clause, they are likely to apply the version of the contract that is favourable to them despite the fact that the two versions should be equivalent in meaning. My point is that sharp practice doesn't stop with Chinese employers. It also applies to the PSB and the visa regulations. As a poster pointed out to me by e-mail, the whole barrel is rotten, and in my experience that is indeed the case!
