So which is it - a form to complete where the applicant answers questions about physical and mental health / OR /a medical in the home country that covers blood and urine samples; chest X-Ray, and the results of the samples to indicate no infectious diseases?

Here is the problem with China...NOTHING is set in stone, you may undergo the health check in home country AND THEN have to do it all again in China anyway. I suppose we are just trying to ascertain what is required and what isn't?

No worries. We are all walking around like lost cavers without a torch when it comes to the visas in China I feel. It is all very confusing imho.
