On the bedside cabinet might to be the contents of the guy's pockets - one folded 100 yuan note and another unfolded 100 yuan note; a bottle, that might be cheap Baiju; possibly a hairbrush or pen and something in a case that could be a computer tablet; a packet of cigarettes. ( I know some women smoke but it's more normal for guys to empty their pockets than women who usually carry a handbag).
