Its not unusual for Nanning schools to have a woman as 1st or main contact with foreign teachers and I do think its because they've figured out women (esp if a little pretty, friendly) are far more trusted by foreigners.

But in fact the women bosses/owners/management in Nanning will absolutely and unapologetically rip-off, scam, fully participate in robbing and fleecing and whats basically outright stealing (simply keeping pay to themselves).

So in a way this does catch westerners in what you might call 'positive sexism' in that they give credit or more trust to women. But in NanNing women bosses/managers in training centers will absolutely happily rob the hell out of man or woman foreign teacher. Blatantly or in the sneakiest of sneaky pickpocketing ways. Either way.
