Any and all foreign teachers should stay out of Nanning now. It is notorious for the '6 week cycle scam' where they hire you, you work for a month, then wait 2 weeks for payday than add more if they have a holiday or excuses to delay it (will usually claim some technical problems) then you will get a heavily-deducted pay. Possible 1/3rd or less. They then explain they will also steal your current months earnings if you quit or complain.

Then they just hire a new foreign teacher and do it again and again.

Lots of other scams now 'standard in Nanning' like inviting a foreign teacher for a potential job but having them do a demo, then a function or event, then to come in again to (example) interview a potential new student and finally the school never phones you back with a job. But just used you for 6 or 10 free hours. (again, doing this to many many foreigners so in effect they constantly have 1 free unpaid soon-to-be-scammed foreigner).

I'm telling you that this is so widespread in Nanning and not just foreigners but I mean I know many many locals in this situation. Its basically now what all Nanning companies are doing always. They know foreigners will never be able to collect so they simply do this.

Its also a sure sign China's going to collapse soon. There is simply no way any society can just do this widely as a 'ongoing practice' without severe economic collapse. Its so bad in Nanning that I've seen almost all native english speakers leaving. Now black Africans are coming from Guangzhou but they can even get scammed worse or just as much.

Nanning is now so bad I couldn't believe it. Basically all foreign teachers need to expect they WILL be cheated and severely in Nanning now.
