So why is it widely considered within Volkswagen to be the foreign assignment that every employee dreads?

Don't you just love it when people assert their opinions without a shred of proof?

Oh, it's your say so, John O'Shei? Well then, it must be true!

Bwahahahaha!

Changchun is a shithole and there's not so much as even a domestic tourism board trying to defend the place.

About Changchun - it's a good city as it allows non-native speakers to teach legally in China. That applies to the whole province, and HK visa runs are permitted by the provincial education bureau. They do not follow Beijing's stupid visa regulations to the letter. That's sensible and practical in my view.

So it's good for paedophiles like Kevin, because they'll give visas to anybody with a pulse?

The SB feels entitled to give opinions about things he knows nothing about.

I actually lived there as a part of my studies and I agree with you, Kevin. Calling Changchun, and Jilin in general, a bottom of the barrel is unfair.

Changchun is a scammer city, the schools there are rubbish, keep away unless you want to be ripped off! Bottom of the barrel!

I'm not the boss of that school. Nor am I connected with it in any way. About Changchun - it's a good city as it allows non-native speakers to teach legally in China. As throughout China, there will be some deceitful employers of FTs in Changchun, but there will also be many reputable employers, some of whom are training centres.
Stop your unfair criticism. Huh, I bet you have never visited the city! So you don't know what you're talking about!
Not a bad city to live and teach in. But one will find it very, very cold there in winter and spring.
