So, it is still possible for me to get a new Z visa in the United States for my next employer at the Chinese consulate with the residence permit from my last employer still inside my passport book? I have already returned to the U.S. My Residence Permit is still within my passport and was not cancelled before I left the country of China, but is still valid until September 2016. The Z Visa that was placed inside my passport so I could enter China for my first employer will expire on November 25 of this week. My new employer would like me to arrive in China in late December to begin my new job at an international school in southern China. She has stated I need to obtain a new Z visa because my last teaching job only issued an Alien Work Permit to me, and not a Foreign Expert Certificate. I worked as a teacher at a training center in Beijing. The new school I will work for only uses the Foreign Expert Certificate.
