They should show respect to a man, however.

That's merely (merely) a seedy-sixism for her doing what she is told!

Tell you what, before you turn in tonight can you do me the favour of turning out your rucksack, there just might be, just might, a vile of that stuff overlooked which turns you into that turnoi-hating poster we all remember and love. Him and SB have certainly never done anything for San Migs. According to the_baker if SB gave SM the money he spends on pies and hookers over just one weekend it would put SM on his feet. Seems to me turnoi and SB are the closest SM has got for friends on this earth and they won't help him out!!

News for you, turnoi and rest of the club, a wife is not a dog.

Noone said they are. They should show respect to a man, however.

As for the rest, just inane storytelling.

Re Avoid Teaching at Alexander English School Shijiazhuang

His son is the son of a &$&$@, he pushes the teachers like dogs because he knows the school and everything in it is his inheritance! Last time he was giving a private class, he couldn't pronounciate the word "elegant". Intelligence extraordinaire! I personally ADVISE all new expats looking for work in China to avoid being at the whim of this over rambunctious idiotic young owner! STAY AWAY! I unfortunately got suckered into their new way of contracting the teachers. As a result I'm currently paying the piper.

I bet your wife has influenced your thinking a lot.

When I get a wife i jolly well hope she will influence my thinking. News for you, turnoi and rest of the club, a wife is not a dog.

On that note, I should announce my engagement to Linda. Linda turns 20 next week and plans to start our marriage arrangements. She is too clever for the likes of you ,turnoi and SB-she doesn't fancy a black eye or a bleeding lip if she expresses her own point of view. Yes ,she will influence me to be sure!

I think it's very likely the son is a chip off the old block, the old block being his father, Victor, in this case! The mother is probably an honest homemaker who knows little about how the school operates!

It's certainly an area which should be restricted to native speakers.....

That is up to you. Many would disagree. Then you go on to say.....

One has to be reasonable, so i have nothing against a Chinese owning an English Training
Centre in China, because a Chinese can still have the welfare of his students as a big
consideration; but if you have an Egyptian owning such a school in China it merely reeks
of money.

Nothing but your pro-China, anti-arab, anti-muslim bias shining through. I bet your wife has influenced your thinking a lot. Total hypocrisy, so on the one hand only native english speakers should teach english, but it is ok for Chinese to own training centres as they can make money and somehow understand english teaching better than foreigners. Grow out of yer box!!!!!!!!!!!

Their son is like a taskmaster from Egypt!

Non-native English speakers and even those who don't speak a word of the language like to get their hands on the lucrative English learning market. It's certainly an area which should be restricted to native speakers.....otherwise it becomes purely about the money. It's not only English which opportunists are grabbing themselves a slice of; it's also languages like Mandarin- again an area which should be restricted to the Chinese.

One has to be reasonable, so i have nothing against a Chinese owning an English Training Centre in China, because a Chinese can still have the welfare of his students as a big consideration; but if you have an Egyptian owning such a school in China it merely reeks of money. A bit like a German getting on the lucrative Mandarin learning gravy train. FT's should be very careful to check that the school in China they intend to work for is not owned by International thieves.

Their son is like a taskmaster from Egypt! A spoiled brat which ignorantly demands and pushes the teachers like dogs! What an asshole to deal with!

Do you think he walks like an Egyptian?

Re Alexander English School Shijiazhuang

I can personally confirm the same story! In the past the teachers were given a direct contract with the schools that had a relationship with. You made money from the contract each month, usually 6000RMB, and the teachers worked part time for Victors school which he paid 150RMB directly after each class was finished which amounted to an extra 4000-6000 per month. Teachers were able to easily make more than 1wan per month. That was back in 2010. Now, they brainwash their teachers to believe they are becoming rich making 7000RMB per month. Teachers are no longer directly contracted to the schools they send you to, so they are making your 6000 per month and on top of that you'll have to work many classes for them each week which, plus tedious English corners which are mandatory 12 per month 1.5 hours each class. When was English corner ever a class? Your expected to spend money on materials which are the teachers personal bill no matter how small or how large, it's just not taken into consideration. In the past, teachers got paid for each English corner and they rotated their teachers, one week on, one week off! Currently they only employ one dumb person from long ago. The rest were smart and moved on because of the changes they have made! The longer you stay the more you lose, almost like a Casino! Their son is like a taskmaster from Egypt! A spoiled brat which ignorantly demands and pushes the teachers like dogs! What an asshole to deal with! His mother is however a very kind lady, generous and a heart of gold. It's a dirty shame that the school is now run like this due to a lack of tolerance with some of their teachers from Africa.

Stooping down to new 'Chinese Lows' indeed.

I've taught a couple of students with Downs Syndrome that can write better English than that. As much as making a joke out of that is apparently not so politically correct, what I'm saying there isn't exactly a lie.

Re Alexander English School Shijiazhuang

Most of Chinese Schools offer foreigners 1 year contract. why did you leave nore more than 1 year ? did you do something illegal? and did you break the contract rules? we all normal readers on the internet think so. i read some people saied "you are a joke" and "the joke is on you."
more question, you mentioned "After arrival they force you to sign new contract ( not the same as you got while being at
home) + appendix. " they changed the contract ,why did you sign the new contract but you are not satisfied.

Almost all schools in china offer realse letter for foreigners.why did not the school give you the release letter. did you break Chinese Lows or the contract?

All relations and communications with Chinese assistants are forbidden. You can't talk to them on qq or wechat. And if the boss would find out that you do it, that poor Chines girl would be fired.

I was informed about your post by 'Rin', a former English employee of Victor who is teaching in Yunnan. Just wondering if you ever came across a mousy Chinese TA called 'Vicky' working for Victor. She is baby-faced and short, but very calculating and smarmy. She is a local who was driven away by Yuncheng IELTS after last year's first semester. My African colleague and I used to refer to her privately as 'Vickyleaks' on account of her quickly snitching everything that happened in and out of school regarding himself and myself in our small city to Nicole/Susan at the company HQ in Yuncheng City.

Victor is honest. He pays top dollar for hard work. Obvously you are a shirker. We can ignore your rant as it's unique as being the only one deriding the school. Okies, please don't apply to Victor for a job. He wants real teachers with enthusiasm, not lazy Americans after easy money.

I've worked at this school and I left this school before my contract ended. I promised myself to make everyone know about this horrible place. ( Luckily I'm working at another school now)

After arrival they force you to sign new contract ( not the same as you got while being at home) + appendix.
They will send you to work at other places: public schools, universities, kindergartens.

They tell that school has several campuses... they are just couple of rented rooms. Sometimes you need to travel from one "campus" to another ( takes about 40-50 mins by bus). They forbid to use AC ( because of the electricity cost)
It's almost impossible to print smth out on a normal A4 paper - because it is "very" expensive.
School never provides any stationeries.

On the weekends you'll always work 12 hours. from 8.30 to 20.30.
You'll have 4 classes a day (1,5 hours each) + 1,5 h English Corner - supposed to be free chatting with elder students. But in reality you'll get all kinds of kids from 4 up to 13. from spring to October you'll do it outside in the polluted parks, temperatures would rise up to 35 38 C. Pollution would be around 400. And all people would come, stair at you...

They really don't like when foreign teachers communicate to each other. And that's the end of the universe if teachers go out for couple of drinks.

All relations and communications with Chinese assistants are forbidden. You can't talk to them on qq or wechat. And if the boss would find out that you do it, that poor Chines girl would be fired.

They don't provide release letters to all teachers. Even they fullfilled till the end of their contracts.
