Hi, thank you for sharing your experience. I want to teach at an international school, either in China or Korea, and have never considered that employers in the west may look unfavorably towards overseas teaching. I'm American though, perhaps it's viewed differently in our countries. I know of a teacher who has taught all over, including China, and people generally view his experience as an amazing opportunity. It gives him an edge, since the ability to accept diversity is highly stressed by education employers in America.

I'm trying to decide if I'd rather teach in China or Korea, and I was leaning more towards Korea because I thought the Chinese schools would work you harder, not the Korean schools, am I way off about that? Has anyone experienced this? Which country generally provides a better working climate in both public and private schools. What about international schools?
