Re Le Waijiao online school - TAL Group

There can be a lot of disorganization but they have paid me in full for training and teaching. Other teachers who are employed there have also been paid. It is a real school and not a scam but it can be a bit messy. I think this is mainly due to the scale they are growing at and are adapting last minute a lot of the time.

Yeah,

Caroline the manager there was extremely rude in her e-mails to a lot of us, and when I questioned her she was rude, sarcastic and cut me. In my teacher group lots quit because of this, and everyone else that decided to continue only has bad things to say about them.

Also, I haven't been paid for training either. I have heard of a couple of people who did the training (and decided to continue), but apparently a large part haven't been paid.

All this is on top of the fact they lie about pay, they advertise 13-30 when in fact it is 15 dollars for everyone (I know several people who passed and they were all offered this amount in "take it or leave it style".

Are there 'real' students at any stage of the training? If so then I suspect that I know what is going on here. Especially if people are not being hired or at least put off completely by an unacceptable offer at the end.

Thanks for the heads-up. I'll be avoiding these people then.

:( this place is a scam. First of all they won't pay you for training like they claim they will. I emailed the HR lady a few times asking for my money and she just doesn't respond. Secondly, the trainer is very rude and barely speaks any English. They have so much expectations but no clear instructions. It's very confusing dealing with them. Stay away.

Yes, there is no 30 dollars an hour - they flat out like and have to tell you later it's 13-18 (more like 13-15). They also make you do another demo with really silly feedback, sent in a supremely condescending and negative email, in order to lower your pay expectstions further.

Some of the employees are nice, but the managers are rude and sarcastic.

Whether they are a scam, or not, really depends on your definition, I think they actually have students in the end.

Anyone know anything about this school. Recently appeared and are offering 134 to 30$ an hour online teaching. They were quick to pin me to discussing salary in the first interview though, even though they said that is decided later after giving a demo.

Seems like just another bait and switch affair. Offer 30 then pin people to a much lower bracket. I felt a little like I could have burped, farted and flashed my privates during the interview and still gotten the job too, you know those types of school...

Likely gonna give this a big old miss but thought I'd ask anyway.
