Maybe you have figured this out already but Daves ESL Cafe website is a better resource for info about the countries you mentioned. Long timers who browse the forum there regularly have loads of concrete info to offer and will email you personally, etc. Good luck.

Thailand is one of the places where you can find work in person.
I know a couple of people who went through recruiters. There are TONS of recruiters online, but beware.
Truly I recommend coming in person, resumes in hand. Shirt and tie help too, as does a big big smile.

It's mostly China-centric (mainland china).

Is it just me or is the discussion here 100% about schools in China? Does anyone have info about work in Thailand? Indonesia? What is the demand like elsewhere?? Maybe people are too happy to report on their status over there
