The original poster's purpose is comic, not pedantic.

Neo-Marxism has supplanted much of historic Marxism among the world's Marxists. Corporate media, like the original poster in this thread, makes a caricature of modern Marxism, in media-for-profit's mission to protect global capitalism and their elite investors.

Marx/Engels also suggested that pure capitalism in the guise of democracy was a necessary precursor to a communist state. They thought that the U.S. would likely be the first communist nation, since Russia had not experienced capitalism or, for that matter, a mature industrial revolution prior to the revolution.

As a 19th century agrarian state, China has never been considered a communist state by Marxist academics. China's 特色 socialism is certainly not Communism.
