This sounds like a pretty bad story. My experience with them was also bad but for different reasons and I believe they stem more from working in China as opposed to Meten itself. If you work in China you'll have the same problems people encounter at Meten or any other school. I don't know who Peter Cooke is, can someone provide with that info? I actually liked the idea of teaching only 16 years old and above but my manager didn't follow that. We had about 10 kids who my manager allowed. If you are a western person in China you don't have rights and many people don't like you. I can't teach there again cause I've been blacklisted. I was so miserable while I was there that it doesn't make much difference.
