That would explain the problems with the .asx streams and so on maybe not working. As you have pointed out, they require a postcode through the site. BBC Iplayer is now only for UK tv licence holders, not working outside. I use moronbook as you term it, but sparingly, just because I can and because it is unavailable to billions of chinese, a sort of protest vote online if you like. No one site should be blocked imho.
