Re English First

No, crap is absolute. In the real world, something is either crap or not. You can't say X is crappier than Z. Expressions like "rather crap/slightly crap" etc. depend on the subjective judgment of individuals that do not really count in the world of logics.

A friend is tall and heavy. He told me he has a big crap every morning. However, he added that his little dog, unlike him, only has a little crap every morning.

You can look at the craps. One is big, while t'other is small. Subjective, no. Objective, yes!
